Here's the set-up:
Bobby Navarro, bad-boy biker with a big heart, interrupts a cross-country trip on his Harley to help the cook of a New Mexico cattle ranch. New challenges, an “adoptive family”, even a new girlfriend—life seems perfect. Then, Bobby finds his boss robbed, beaten and stabbed to death.

Bobby lets himself be talked into staying on as cook for the ranch until a replacement can be found, and promises Tim, the victim’s son, he’ll find the killer. His attempt at sleuthing angers the detective in charge of the case, infuriates Ned, the ranch foreman, who resents Bobby’s friendship with the family, and raises major concerns on the part of Bobby’s girlfriend, Sally.

Police focus on the cook of a neighboring ranch, owner of the murder weapon, but who Bobby believes to be innocent, and on Bobby himself. Bobby looks for evidence against a pack of three bikers who admit to the savage beating preceding his boss’s murder, and a bum who has come into extra spending money following the murder/robbery.

Before Bobby solves the murder, Ned fires him, his girlfriend dumps him, and somebody rams into the back of his Harley, hurtling him off into the desert night—a bundle of cuts, bruises, and twisted steel wreckage. Worse, someone wants to kill Tim as well.

Here’s the set-up:

This is no ordinary quotes book!

If you like to receive daily inspirational messages, or like to have angel card readings, or spiritual card readings to receive spiritual messages, you are going to love this book!

How To Use This Book:

This book holds wonderful messages for you from Spirit. You may enjoy this book in two different ways:

1) You may read it from beginning to end like you do with most books, and you will find many messages that will pertain to your everyday life.

2) You can see what messages this book holds for you daily, weekly or just when needed. This book was written with the intention of helping you to receive messages from Spirit when you most need them. When in need, open the book and put your finger on the slide bar at the bottom of the page. Run your finger along the bar until you feel the urge to stop, then look at the page and see what message is waiting for you…Thank Spirit for the message, and then close the book until needed again.

Suggested use is weekly to receive your message, it is helpful if you make the day consistent. For instance, beginning of week for inspiration going into the week, or end of the week for inspiration to help you shift your perspective on things encountered throughout the week, or both!

Now see what messages Spirit holds for you…..

From the reviewers:

“Jennifer O’Neill’s Inspirational Quotes are like gems of wisdom for the soul. I keep coming back to them for a daily dose of divine goodness!” ~ Deb Friedrich, owner Zenatona

“Inspirational Quotes was a very eye opening, motivating, and enjoyable read. I like the fact that I can pick it up everyday and learn something new. Even re-reading quotes is inspiring because every time there is a new meaning attached to them, depending on what you are going through in your life at that moment in time. I would definitely recommend this!” ~ Ethel

“This quote book really hits right at home for me, where as other quote books I have read, I have had to form the quote a bit to fit my life. It’s really inspiring that it actually applies to things that are going on in my life, without any molding on my end, so I find it a lot more useful.” ~ Steve B.

“Just finished reading Inspirational Quotes by Jennifer O’Neill and I loved it. I wish I had each of those quotes on post it notes so I could read one each day and apply it to my life. Each quote is a wonderful pick me up and a great way to start my day. Thank you! Now to find my post it notes and start writing…….” ~ Suzanne Altergott

“Inspirational Quotes by Jennifer is a very unique book of quotes. I read a lot of quotes and try to apply them to my life. Many other quotes seem to be written in code, and in this busy world it is hard to take the time to try to decode them and try to figure out what the author is trying to say. These quotes are straight forward and written so that everyone can understand them first time it is read, which is important and makes it easier for a person to try to apply them. When I read this book, I found that I could apply many of these quotes to my life & I plan on doing it!” ~ Roxy Bell

GUILTY OR ELSE

by Jeff Sherratt

4.4 stars – 10 Reviews
Text-to-Speech and Lending: Enabled

Here’s the set-up:

When Ernesto Rodriguez, a blue collar gardener is arrested for the savage murder of a senator’s beautiful secretary, ex-cop turned lawyer Jimmy O’Brien is brought in. But Jimmy isn’t asked to defend the man. The judge wants Rodriguez put away fast. No trial, cut a deal with the D.A. Guilty: twenty-five to life. Launching his own investigation, Jimmy must navigate a labyrinthine course of corruption and conspiracy with danger lurking at every turn. From the suburbs of Los Angeles to Sacramento to Las Vegas, the trail runs boiling hot with greed and violence. With help from his PI friend Sol Silverman, Jimmy tries to find the answers to questions that may save his life and free an innocent man. Was the senator having an affair with his secretary and did he kill her to keep it quiet? Why is the local mob having Jimmy followed? And why has the judge told Jimmy to plead Rodriguez GUILTY OR ELSE?

Reviews

Guilty or Else, effectively mixes hardboiled action with humor in a fun read for fans of Southern California crime fiction.  Cop-turned-lawyer Jimmy O’Brien wisecracks his way through political intrigue and gang warfare. Jimmy is dedicated to protecting the innocent by whatever means necessary.
Steven Thomas, OC Metro Magazine

Jeff Sherratt hits another homerun with GUILTY OR ELSE. I really like his main character, Jimmy O’Brien. He’s not your stereotypical thriller hero. He makes mistakes which makes him human and more compelling. Jimmy O knows there’s something seriously fishy with pinning the murder on a gardener (with no concrete motive) he just has to prove the man’s innocence.

But things soon spiral out of control when bigger players enter the picture, players who don’t take prisoners. Politics. The mob. A prosecutor with secrets to protect. It’s all woven together with color and style into a compelling mystery with a great ending.

If you like Ray Chandler, you’re going to love Jeff Sherratt as well!

Andrew Peterson, author of “First to Kill”

He’s ready to get back at God, his paper mill coworkers, and everyone else in his north Louisiana town. Constantly drunk to numb his pain, the normally cautious Vernon spirals into recklessness; drinking on the job, facing down a younger man at work over a parking spot, scandalizing his former fellow Baptists with displays of his nakedness. Meanwhile Jody Davidson, Vernon’s estranged nephew, struggles to survive a similarly tragic past by self-imposed exile, inserting himself into a new, seemingly different family a thousand miles away. The two men are reunited when Vernon agrees to retrieve Jody for his dying brother so they can say goodbye-and that’s when they each embark on a journey that will ultimately change their lives.

Someone Else, Somewhere Else

by Jenelle Jack Pierre

5.0 stars – 1 Reviews

Here’s the set-up:

“Though we were four years younger than Ariya, we’d watched teenagers before at an older cousin’s house. They talked on the phone, they texted their boyfriends, they watched movies on DVDs. Sometimes, they tidied up the house by wiping the table with a damp sponge after feeding us, removing the crumbs and ring spots from the bottom of our glasses. But we’d never seen any of them work like Ariya did.”

Twin sisters. Stepdaughters. Neighbors. In this short fiction, the lives of the twins are forever changed when their mother remarries and they move next door to a family unlike their own. Could their lives have been different with a flip of a coin?

This story is from Jenelle’s upcoming short story collection, LOVE’S ONLOOKERS, due out August 1, 2012.

The Kennedy Rifle

by JK Brandon

3.9 stars – 17 Reviews
Text-to-Speech and Lending: Enabled
Here’s the set-up:

Like JFK, Michael Cole’s father was shot in Dealey Plaza that day, wounded by a shot from the Grassy Knoll…or so he said. His claim triggers years of research by his son. As a court-certified expert on firearms and ballistics, Michael Cole writes a book about a second Dallas assassin and the weapon likely used. Cole is ridiculed, his reputation nearly destroyed. Finally, with the death of his father and the passing of five decades, Cole abandons his search for the truth.  Meanwhile, his book attracts some unwanted attention from those originally involved.

One day a woman comes to his office with killer looks and an unbelievable story. Kate Marlowe says she has proof of a JFK assassination conspiracy, that her uncle was bodyguard and driver for the assassin on the Grassy Knoll. After JFK’s murder in 1963, he drove to Arizona to lay low and hide the sniper rifle. Now near death, he confesses his crime and the rifle’s location to her. Go get the rifle, he tells her. Show the world what really happened. Kate travels to Arizona to enlist the help of Michael Cole and locate the true assassin’s rifle.

Before they can find it, rumors surface of the Kennedy Rifle and a mysterious auction on the fiftieth anniversary. Billionaire collectors, criminal arms-dealers, and coup d’etat participants join the hunt. Some want the truth, some want the truth buried, but all want the rifle…and Kate and Cole dead.

Thanks to the miracle of Kindle publishing, this is a modified version with additional new material and a different ending from the original release.

A paranormal horror novel, about 106,000 words or 424 pages; DRM free.

For the fans of Stephen King and Dean Koontz…

With the last six years of his life wiped out of his memory, Frank suspects he may have murdered his wife Kelly, who vanished three days before the car crash that caused his amnesia. While struggling to remember Kelly and the events surrounding her disappearance, Frank is shocked to find out that his wife’s family has the same suspicions as he does.

As memories trickle back to him, Frank is still unable to figure out why he slaughtered Kelly and what happened to his accomplice. He is not even sure he has nothing to do with the disappearance of his young daughter, who went missing a few months earlier.

Things take a darker turn when Frank realizes that his vindictive in-laws will stop at nothing to make him remember what he has done to their beloved sister. The situation gets even more complicated as an anonymous blackmailer accuses Frank of the murder and demands money to keep silent.

Frank’s search for answers becomes a fight for survival after he rediscovers that his wife’s relatives are a clique of bloodthirsty serial kidnappers serving a mysterious one-legged man. His chances are slim: one of the in-laws is a cop and another is a multimillionaire.

However, the question still remains: Why are these people so hell-bent on getting hold of Kelly’s dead body?

His options are limited: he either finds his wife–dead or alive–or dies. In his race against time Frank has all the clues to the puzzle, he just needs to remember them before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, Frank has no idea that he is in for the biggest shock of his life…

Here’s the set-up:

From the international bestselling author of ‘Get Organized! Your 12 Month Home Clutter Killer Guide’ comes this all new guide to home storage.

Over the years we are all guilty of gathering a variety of trinkets. Some items we keep have sentimental value and remind us of times past, some we hold onto just in case of emergencies or because we believe that the item may be of use one day, and some items we keep squirreled away are only still around because they have been forgotten about! As each year goes by, we add to this ever expanding collection with further items that fall into these categories and more. Birthdays, holidays, and other important events come and go with alarming regularity, and before long you’re looking around your house wondering why you can’t close the doors on your closets or guest bedroom!

Storing all these items that we accumulate over our lifetimes, is a tedious chore that we are all faced with, many times throughout the decades. I remember very well the time my Mom and Dad first made me decide on which toys to get rid of to clear a space in the clutter of my little shared bedroom, and when I first got in trouble for simply hiding all my toys under the bunk bed instead of cleaning up ‘properly’! Even as adults, most of us still loathe having to take the time to clean and organize.

However, if you want to have a clean home to warmly invite guests into, and to stop losing various items to the gremlins in your walls, then you have to start doing more than just throwing everything into a corner and forgetting about it until Spring Cleaning time!

Follow the various tips and tricks discussed in this book, to start making the maximum use of the storage space your home can provide, and to start storing all your items appropriately, neatly and safely. I’ll be honest – it’s not going to be done in a day, but following my strategies and going through your home room by room, you’ll soon have a home that can comfortably fit everything you need (and more!) whilst remaining entirely clutter-free.

Then all you have to do is maintain it, and that is a much easier and faster job with your new storage solutions in place!

Plus all purchasers of this book are entitled to download the Gleam Guru Kitchen & Inventory Pack absolutely free!

Fourteen-year-old Adya Jordan wakes after a terrible accident with memories of another life…and echoes of even more. Was the family and husband all a dream, or did she really die in 2011 and begin all over again in 1985?

As Adya searches for answers, she encounters the Three Eleven Corporation. The leaders of this powerful global entity share her recollections of past lives, but not her philosophy about the world they are trying desperately to save from a future disaster. The company is trying to remedy future mistakes with past actions, but might not be changing the right things to prevent the fall of humanity.
Stuck in a desolate future, scientist Nicholas Weaver is forced to watch Adya replay the past again and again as he labors alone to save the world from the disaster he has lived over and over. Is this the time they finally get it right and save the woman he loves? If not, does he have the will to try again?

Regression was an Amazon Bestseller, in the Science Fiction and Fantasy bestseller top 100 for 28 days as a new release, peaking at #17

From the reviewers:

In a stunning first novel, Kathy Bell introduces a future apocalypse but offers a possible and radically innovative solution to the end of mankind as we know it.  Kathy Bell makes her scientific premise understandable and believable, even to a reader with no scientific background. What’s even better is her ability to make you care enormously for Adya as she struggles to find her place in this version of her world, while mourning her family’s loss in another life.  –  Gerry Dailey

It got me right from the start – especially after the accident. There was some unexpected twists and turns, and a few things I kind of guessed before Adya herself found out, but that did not make it boring or too predictable. There were moments where I actually shed tears for Adya, which proves how realistic the story is.  –  Susan L. Carter

I’m not even sure how I came across this book, but it is fantastic reading. Full of both emotion and science fiction it captured my full attention. I can’t wait to read the second book in the series, and hopefully by the time I finish that the third book will be released. I highly recommend this book! For the price on Kindle, you can’t go wrong. Good job Kathy Bell!  – Athena Neox

The new profile picture shows me at the entrance to Xibalba, the Mayan Underworld. Trent and I went to Belize to research places and experiences for my new novel, due out April 1, 2012. Synergy 2012:Return to Magic is an urban fantasy.

Born in 1971, I’ve called the Georgian Bay and Lake Huron area home for my entire life – minus the years at university. Even so, I found books a wonderful way to travel through time and around the world.

I live in my dream house on 60 acres with an amazing view of the city skyline in one direction and the sheer cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment in the other. I was only able to start writing after checking off most other things on the to-do list of my life: marry high school sweetheart (check); get an awesome career as a high school teacher(check); have four wonderful kids (check); build my dream home (check); be a successful entrepreneur (check); breed Canada’s top winning bulldog (check); get a herd of horses (check). Suddenly, I found myself inspired to begin writing after a break of more than twenty years – when I was in high school I wrote short stories which never made it past my journal binders. I still have both.

Regression was conceived in the middle of the night, one hand cradling a fussy baby while the other pecked at the keyboard – you can only surf the internet for so long! I feel it is a reflection of the many roles I have had in my life, and the observations of human nature accumulated through those roles.
