This was a great murder mystery. There was always some crazy event happening in the book that had me on th edge of my seat, along with some romance and just the right amount of cliff hangers. I recommend this to anyone who loves a good mystery!

Here's the set-up:
Women are missing . . .

Is the rising number of abused women who've gone missing a statistical anomaly? Or is a serial killer targeting this vulnerable group of women?

When the Milwaukee Police Department refuses to investigate because no bodies have been discovered, Lisa Rayburn, the clinical psychologist who discovers the anomaly, is drawn into an investigation to discover the cause after one of her own clients goes missing. She finds herself forming an unlikely alliance with a former policewoman turned security consultant, TJ Peacock, and the husbands of two of the missing women who may themselves be murderers.

When TJ is attacked, and a woman looking remarkably like Lisa is found murdered, they know . . . someone is willing to kill to protect his secret.

Can they reveal the killer before he gets to them?
One Reviewer Notes:
This is an intensely suspenseful story of multiple murderers, desperate people coming together to what the police would not do, and a final murder that ended it all. Unusual and original I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a mystery.

Here’s the set-up:

In 1994, film writer Hans Bauer wrote a screenplay for what would become the hit movie “Anaconda.” Today he presents this original vision in his new novel Anaconda: “The Writer’s Cut.” Movie fans have long embraced the “director’s cut” versions of their favorite films in the home video market. Now, Bauer pioneers the “writer’s cut,” introducing readers to a new medium for book lovers.

“It has been said that, among the continents, South America will teach it to you: God and the Devil are the same; this last great reservoir of primordial wilderness is at once both Garden of Eden and green sweltering Hell.”

In an epic adventure, twenty-something, middle-school biology teacher Andie Easter and six young colleagues who, in the dead of a Chicago winter, hatch a plan to spend their summer in Brazil, hoping to reverse their meager fortunes by joining a modern-day gold rush on a tributary of the mighty Amazon.

Disoriented and increasingly isolated, the treasure hunters stray into the remote domain of three colossal snakes: daughter, mother, grandmother. One by one, under terrifying circumstances, the teachers fall victim to the devastating effects of gold fever and the relentless brutality of the primeval South American jungle. Andie Easter must discover her inner Amazon to avoid becoming prey for the Mother of All Snakes.

Crispens Point - A Christian Novel: Book 1 of the Blackberry County Chronicles
4.4 stars – 294 Reviews
Or FREE with Learn More
Text-to-Speech and Lending: Enabled
Here’s the set-up:

Charlotte is a successful romance novelist who escapes city life and moves to the small town of Crispens Point in Blackberry County. She immediately connects with some of the quirky but friendly residents and begins to feel at home right away. When a friend invites her to attend a local community church, Charlotte is attracted to the pastor, but refuses to acknowledge that attraction because of some dark things in her past.

What is the mysterious thing in Charlotte’s past that seems to dominate everything? Is it enough to keep her from ever finding a lasting relationship?

What is unique about JoHannah Reardon’s romances?
JoHannah Reardon loves to write “Jane Austin” type of romances in contemporary settings. For example, the pastor’s personality in this story is similar to Mr. Darcy’ personality in Pride and Prejudice. Just as Darcy seems one way at the beginning of the book and quite another way at the end, so does the pastor in this story. So, at the start he may not be everyone’s idea of a romantic lead, but by the end he proves himself truly loving.

Also, you will never find gorgeous women and extremely handsome men in JoHannah Reardon’s stories. She prefers to write about the person next door who you may wave to as you pull out of your driveway each day. Her romances are lighthearted and funny, but not mushy. And her characters’ faith informs everything they do.

5-Star Amazon Reviews

“Crispen’s Point was a wonderfully delightful novel with a clean, interesting story line…”

“This story was a real breath of fresh air. The story was so sweet, so fresh…”

“This is a nice Christian novel. It is entertaining and the characters are believable and multi-faceted…”

One Reviewer Notes:
I've always loved epic fantasy stories, from the Lord of the Rings to the Thomas Covenant series to the land of Shannara-and I especially enjoy discovering new adventures by previously unheard voices. In this regard, Ms. Bryant's foray into the realm of epic fiction is an unqualified success. She deftly introduces intriguing, if not always likable, characters, none more so than her heroes, Laila and Sarin. While they spend most of the story fighting each other, the growing sparks of respect (and dare I say, love), that plays out is a real treat. I also especially enjoyed Bryant's spin on how some well-known races, such as elves and goblins, are not what is normally expected. And then there's the 'evil bad guy' - just enough of him to know he's there pulling the strings, but not so much that he overshadows the rest of the story. All-in-all, a strong, engrossing, fun fantasy novel that will have you turning the pages quickly to see what happens next!
