Miles was born in 1982, and has been fortunate to have lived in a dozen countries, learning a number of languages in the process. Before publishing Little Angels' Mothers he had written and published mainly poetry and short stories in French, Spanish, German and English. His favorite authors are Dostoyevsky, Lem, Borges and Bolaño. Human and women's rights have been his main preoccupation throughout the career. He currently lives in Geneva, Switzerland, where he works for the HQ of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
