About the Author

I tell stories and have adventures. When I was a little boy, I would tell stories and have adventures in the backyard pretending I was in a circus in front of an audience of my family and neighbors. In elementary school, more stories and adventures were played out on the stage in front of my class and, sometimes, the entire school. In High School and College, I donned my glasses and disguised my super writer self in my computer nerd persona and while I still told stories and had adventures, they were never made publicly known. Many years later, I decided that it was time to remove my disguise and let my stories out in the world again. My first adventure, Grimm End, was published in 2012 with four more Grimm End novels planned for 2013 through 2015. CJ Kask, the 106 year old explorer from Grimm End, also appears as an eleven-year-old adventurer in Young Explorers and the Inca Wraith, the first book of the Young Explorers series which was published in 2013. In addition, a sprawling swords and sorcery fantasy novel series and a number of computer thrillers will appear over the next several years. Outside of writing, I have adventures with Kay, my wife and future author of her own books, my two wonderful daughters and their families including three grand-children (and one on the way) and two grand-puppies. I also let people know what is going on with my writing at stcameron.com.

Here’s the set-up:

Sally Mason’s teenage son Colton is headed for a major meltdown, and she’s desperate to avert another disaster by proving her husband’s recent death was an accident, not the suicide determined by the coroner. Everyone in town, even Colton, seems to know something particular about Jack’s last days, but no one in Mason’s Crossing can help her put all the pieces together.

On the morning she discovers secret notes in Jack’s appointment book, she finds something else to convince her she’s right. But the more she digs for the truth, the more destructive Colton’s behavior becomes, until Sally is left with one choice: ask her father what really happened.

The problem: Sally hasn’t spoken to him in fifteen years.

It's very, very good! The characters are likable and relatable. The storyline is believable and well thought out. Beware that there is an underlying story of sexual abuse that may touch buttons for some readers, but it isn't gratuitous.

Here's the set-up:
Conflicting Hearts is my story of childhood sexual abuse set in a fictional world. Why would I write such a book exposing my past?  Blame it on all the best sellers regarding women who are enjoying kinky sex at the hands of dominant men.

The book is not meant to judge those who enjoy that path.  Rather it's an eye opening journey into the mind of a woman who suffers from masochist tendencies. The selfish act of childhood abuse has a profound effect upon the mind of a little girl. As a result of the trauma, she grows into a woman who struggles with a variety of painful issues and poor relationships.
One Reviewer Notes:
We know that a large percentage of people have suffered from sexual abuse and that it has lifelong effects. Most books shy away from this topic all together. Conflicting Hearts meets the subject head on, integrating it into a romance between two people to whom I could completely relate. It was refreshing to me to read such an honest look at the issue. Sexual abuse victims can read this and find understanding and hope. Those who have not suffered from abuse will still cheer these characters on and enjoy their journey. Don't miss it!
